OPERATION ADDRESS THE HOMELESS:
OATH was founded in 2014. There was a need to do more to help the "invisible faces" in our area. The ultimate goal is to establish a facility where we can provide the necessary services in improving the quality of life. Our facilities will provide job training, life skills training, health and psychological services, and most importantly get those in dire need off the dangerous streets, out of the elements, and give people a sense of pride, sense of purpose, and most importantly self-worth.
We are currently providing showers several days a week, grooming services and clothing. We also provide consultations for additional services that may be needed. We are currently raising funds so we can provide these services as our CEO and partners have sustained the cost.
One of our goals is to raise funds to support our Mobile Outreach Vehicle. This vehicle allows us to take the necessary supplies and medical help directly to the homeless, without them having to find us. We have been going into the homeless camps in the Lehigh Valley and providing food, water, clothing, and other necessary goods to help the homeless survive in their camps. We know we need to do more, so we ask that you help with our mission.
OATH is totally supported by volunteers. They all bring their unique skills and talents to our mission. If you are interested in becoming one of the many who participates in helping your fellow man, woman, child who are living on the streets, please contact us. We would love to find a place for you to help within our organization.
Since July of 2017, George, who owns Ole Super Coin Laundry, has been providing access to free washers and dryers for washing our
homeless friend’s clothing. Please help us thank him for his kindness. ??
Furthermore, we are sharing more good news.
Starting the week of Dec. 23, 2018, our homeless friends will have access to washers and dryers on site at our facility. *Registration is required*
Please stay tuned, and again give a huge thanks to those who have been dedicating their businesses and time to support our mission.
One day, OATH hopes to operate a Mobile Outreach Center, therefore, we are looking for assistance from people like you. Our OATH Mobile Outreach Center would add more quality to the lives of our homeless population, as it could carry a team of medical professionals, a shower, a kitchenette, storage for both dry goods, and non-perishable food supplies. OATH's Mobile Outreach Center would not only allow us to help more people, but we'd be able to travel to their locations, and provide them with medical and mental health services too. As you know, the homeless population needs a lot of attention that they aren't getting.
